AI readiness assessment in the Isle of Man

Most businesses on the Island are hearing about AI but do not know where to start. A fixed price assessment in two to four weeks gives you the honest picture, the roadmap, and the confidence to move or not to move.

By Zakir Hoosen, Director, Fuzzelogic Solutions. Board-level guidance in plain English.

If your board is talking about AI integration, the first question is not what to build. It is where you stand. That is what an assessment answers. Not a sales pitch, not a slide deck. A clear, written picture of what your business is ready for, what it is not, and what to do next.

Fuzzelogic runs a fixed price AI readiness assessment that takes two to four weeks. You own the verdict and the roadmap whether or not we build any of it. That matters. The moment a consultant ties the assessment to a build contract, you have a conflict of interest. We remove it.

What the research says

The pressure on boards is real, but so is the failure rate. AI integration projects fail when businesses skip the groundwork.

"Ninety percent of companies have launched some flavor of digital transformation, and only a third of the expected revenue benefits, on average, have been realized."

Two thirds of those projects did not land. The reason is rarely the technology. It is that nobody tested whether the business was ready for AI integration before spending the money. An assessment exists to stop that happening to you.

"61% of CEOs say boards are rushing AI transformation."

Rushing is expensive. So is standing still. The point of a fixed price assessment is to replace both with evidence.

What an AI readiness assessment actually covers

The assessment is not a technology audit. It is a business readiness check for AI integration. We look at five things.

  1. Reachable. Can the data your AI needs actually be found when it needs it?
  2. Trustworthy. Do you know the data is accurate, current, and complete?
  3. Explainable. Can someone explain why the system made a particular decision?
  4. Changeable. Can the system be changed when the business changes?
  5. Governed. Has someone decided what the system may and may not do?

Each of these gets a clear answer. Not a colour coded dashboard. A plain English verdict. The business either passes or it does not, and where it falls short, the roadmap tells you what to fix and in what order.

In two to four weeks you get:

A factual picture of your data, your systems, and your processes. A classification of each area by what happens if AI fails there. A prioritised roadmap of what to fix first and what is safe to start with. A board level summary you can take to your next meeting.

That is it. No hidden agenda. No upsell buried in phase two.

Why Isle of Man businesses are different

The Island has specific characteristics that affect AI integration readiness. Many businesses are small enough to move fast but regulated tightly enough that moving fast carries real risk. Financial services firms, healthcare providers, government departments, and local authorities all face the same question: how do we get the benefit without the exposure?

That question has a different answer in each sector. A bank preparing for regulatory scrutiny needs different governance than a local authority looking at resident services. The assessment is sector aware. It does not hand you a generic checklist. It looks at your context for AI integration.

"40% of enterprise agentic AI projects will be cancelled by end of 2027."

The projects that get cancelled are the ones nobody assessed properly at the start. They were built on hope rather than on evidence. A two to four week assessment is cheap insurance against a twelve month AI integration mistake.

What happens when the honest answer is no

This is where most consultants lose their nerve. If the assessment shows that a process should not have AI applied to it, we write that down. If the honest answer is that the data is not ready, that the risk is too high, or that the process needs fixing before it can be automated, we put it in writing.

That is the point. The verdict is yours to own. If the roadmap says fix your data first, that is better to know in week two than in month nine when the project is over budget and underdelivering.

Our tagline says it plainly: your systems were built for a world before AI. Most can get there. We tell you which ones cannot.

The four steps before you build anything

Fuzzelogic uses a four step framework for responsible adoption. The assessment covers steps one and two in full and gives you the plan for steps three and four.

  1. Find it. Locate every place in the business where AI already exists, often under the radar.
  2. Classify it. Work out what happens if each use fails.
  3. Govern it. Put rules around the ones that matter.
  4. Train for it. Make sure the people who have to live with the result know what it means.

Most businesses are surprised by what they find in step one. AI is already in use, often unmanaged, often ungoverned. The assessment gives you the first clear picture of that reality.

What you get for the fixed price

The assessment takes two to four weeks. The price is agreed upfront. You receive:

A written report covering all five readiness areas. A roadmap with priorities, timelines, and the dependencies between them. A board level summary for governance and oversight. A clear recommendation on what to do next and what to leave alone.

Whether you then choose to build with Fuzzelogic or with someone else, or with no one at all, the report and roadmap are yours. That is the contract.

How to start

The simplest next step is a conversation. No preparation needed on your side. We talk through what the business is trying to do, what data you have, and where the pressure is coming from. From that we scope the assessment and confirm the fixed price.
