Ok, the 3rd round actually went ahead. Thank you to everyone that attended.

We touched on the basics of the what and where (it come from) on S.O.L.I.D, and looked at the “S” = single responsibility principle. The discussion was pretty organic and as I’ve mentioned before its difficult to discuss these topics in isolation, and we touched on a couple of patterns (MVP) and principles (Dependency injection). We also discussed BDD and touched Rhino Mocks.

Once again, everyone there was happy enough to want to continue this, so the next one is pencilled in for 19th August 2009 - Venue to be confirmed. Hopefully we’ll look at the “O” = Open closed principle. I’ll try to use the same example code, so that we can see it evolve over the entire series.

Hey all !

Cutting it a little close here, the next one will be this Thursday (17th July 2009) at the same Ballasella venue as last month.

I’ll start a series of “chats” surronding  the S.O.L.I.D principles. We won’t get through all of the principles but its cool to make a start and see where this leads us.

Should we say, 6:15 for a 6:30 start. Hope to see you all there.

I was honoured to be invited to present a talk on dependency injection to the BCS - Isle of Man on the 30th of June 2009. To all those that attended, thank you very much, and if you have any comments, questions or feedback, please let me know.
